Title: The Moon and the Star... Question: What is the meaning of the moon and star seen in your temple? Luisa Gobe Philippines Answer: The moon and the star is not a permanent feature of mosques. Wherever the star and the moon are used over a minaret or a tomb, it is used as a decoration, rather than a religious symbol. I hope this helps. Regards, Moiz Amjad September 15, 2001
