Title: The Children of the Prophet (pbuh) Question: How many children did Muhammad have? What were their names? Did he have separate rooms for them like his wives? Did he have a kid with each of his wives? Answer: The names of the Prophet's children were: Qasim , Zainab , Ruqaiyyah , Umm-e-Kulthoom , Faatimah and Ibraheem (ra). All these children, except Ibraheem , were born to the Prophet's first wife - Khadijah (ra). Ibraheem was born to Maria Qibtiyyah . Thus, the total number of the Prophet's children was six. Of these the first and the last were male children. Both the male children died in their childhood/infancy. The Prophet did not have a child from each of his wife.
