Suggestions for Any Non-Alcoholic Hair Products...

Title: Suggestions for Any Non-Alcoholic Hair Products... Question: I consulted with one source regarding rubbing V05 Hair Food on my head as a nutrition and conditioner for my head. Because though I am not taking the alcohol ingredient inside it internally, I believe I'm not committing a sin. My mum tells me that too. But the source I consulted, says that TOUCHING alcohol externally is forbidden. What about alcohol for instrument-cleansing purposes? Are there non-alcohol alternatives to the hair products? Answer: I really do not know of any non-alcoholic hair products (to be honest, I do not even know any alcoholic hair products either!!!). I would suggest that you consult a qualified expert in the field for the purpose. However, in my opinion, prohibition of liquor relates to its consumption as a drink. Using alcohol in medicines or cosmetics or as an anti-septic ingredient does not come under the fold of the word 'liquor', and is, therefore, not prohibited by the Shari`ah . I hold your and mother's opinion to be correct in this respect.
