Question
Reply to the Response on ' Recognizing Qadianis... ' 5th April, 1998 I believe that for my success in the hereafter, as far as my beliefs are concerned, the Qur`an suffices for me. In other words, if I believe what the Qur'an tells me to believe, and stop right there, I should be successful in the hereafter. I am sure that you would not disagree on this with me. Now, as far as my knowledge is concerned, the Qur'an does not require of me to wait for or believe in any Prophet or Messiah or Mujaddid or anything else, after Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I would therefore submit that I am not even willing to consider any argument given by any Qadiani, Ahmadi or any other school that requires me to believe in any Prophet or Messiah, after Muhammad (pbuh), unless someone tells me that the Qur'an directs and requires me to hold this belief. If you know of any one or more verses of the Qur'an that clearly direct me and other Muslims to hold this belief, please do let me know. I shall then be obliged to consider the comming of the " Promised Messiah ". And in case you don't, then you should yourself seriously consider why do you believe in something that the Qur'an does not require you to. Don't you think that the Qur'an suffices for your success in the hereafter? Best regards The Learner
