Question

Title: Regarding the Sala'h al-Hajaat Question: I have been told that salatul hajaat is good to read when one desires something. Please could you tell me more about it, such as when and how it should be read, what Surah should be read in it? Jazakaalah Yasmeen Kahn Turkey Answer: Sala'h al-Haajah may be offered as any other supererogatory ( naf'l ) prayer is offered. In its true form, Sala'h al-Haajah is just a Nafal Sala'h , offered for the particular purpose of praying to the Almighty to provide for the generous fulfillment of all or any of our needs. A believer, who is engulfed by troubles, may stand in prayer in front of His Master before entreating Him to descend upon the servant sheer solace and unfailing courage to fight the tough circumstances. So, there is no particular method nor is there any specific material to be recited; rather, after the Nafl prayer, one should place whatever emotions and feelings one is feeling before His Master 1 .
