Question

Title: Playing a Dice Game Question: You said that chess is allowed because it not a dice game. Does this means that Ludo or specially Monopoly that children play with dice is not permissible? Jazzakallah khairun Nauman Ilyas Answer: Because people would generally gamble on dice games, the phrase 'dice games' was generally used to imply games played with monetary stakes. Without any money at stake, these games seem to be quite harmless and, therefore, there seems no reason to group them under gambling (or prohibited games). I hope this helps.
