Mut'ah or Prostitution?
Question
Title: Mut'ah or Prostitution? Question: 1'm 26 but i can't marry because of some family problem so can i use a prostitute because i am out o control these days and i am sunni Answer: Whatever problems you are facing it is not an excuse to commit a sin in this regard. Paying a prostitute for any sexual pleasure will heap guilt upon your shoulders. It would be wise that you get a hold of yourself and not allow yourself to lose control. It is understandable that at this age one desires companionship, however, paying for it is not the way. Mut'ah (i.e. temporary marriage) is not allowed in Islam. Thus, on that basis alone you cannot commit what you are asking. Secondly, prostitution is completely forbidden in Islam and partaking in any aspect of it is sinful. With that in mind please do consider the sanctity of marriage because it is not merely for sexual purposes that one should get married. Lastly, I urge you to control yourself and find other ways to bring yourself relief. If prayer, fasting or other activities can help alleviate some of these tensions then indulge in them.
