Asalamualaykum I have told my parents about this guy from college i wish to marry. they had accepted him and said i can marry him any time. the guy has told his parents and they have accepted but said to wait a few years until we are older. we are 18 now and we see each other alot and engage in sinful acts. i felt very guilty and so did he and we kept persuading our parents to get our nikah done. my parents said they are willing for me to marry him but his mother said not yet until we complete our education we can marry. this would be another four years. he still tried persuading his mother but she wouldn't agree for nikah yet. me and they guy decided to have nikah without our parents knowledge. although we felt so guilty and felt hurt we felt it was the right thing to do. we had one muslim man wintess and two muslim female wintesses. i had my brother as my wali and the guy had given me dowry. we wish in the future to have a nikah again for our parents. is my first nikah valid? and if any intimate acts happen between me and the guy would it be halal?
