Is My Marriage Valid After Adultery?

asalamualaikum, i dont know how to put this, but i have done something really bad.i know my mistake and i am deeply ashamed. i got marrid at a very young age and everything happend so quickly. i commited a sinful act,(adultery), my family knew about it so did my husband,at the time i didnt want to be with my husband anymore i wanted out, to be with the other man. but then i fell pregnant with my husbands child so i ended the relationship with the other man. but now im happy and i want to be with my husband and he has forgiven me.i want to know what step shall i take next, is my marraige still valid?

After realizing the gravity of your sin it would behoove you to take time to repent to your Lord, if you have not yet done. We all make mistakes and regardless of the magnitude we can always depend on God's mercy. We should turn to Him with contrition and a sincere effort not to repeat the error. I commend your husband on his ability to forgive what many would not be able to get past. Forgiveness is a great attribute and we should always strive to find it in our hearts. As such, your marriage is safe. Your violation did not annul your marriage because you both have agreed to continue with it. Keep God in mind and your husband's benevolence.
