Title: Information on Hadhrat Adam (pbuh) Question: If you can please send me information about all prophets especially Hadhrat Adam I would be glad. I have to do a research on him so please send the info. Thank-You Answer: The original source of information on all prophets is the Qur'an and the Bible. You may find some of these biographies in the beginning of Ibn Kathir 's " Al-Bidayah wal-Nihayah " (his compilation of Muslim history). However, Ibn Kathir has also relied primarily upon the Qur'an, the Bible and narratives ascribed to the Prophet (pbuh). Compiling information on all prophets, as you will appreciate, is quite a lengthy project and cannot be dealt with in an answer to a question. However, I provide below a list of the Qur'anic and Biblical verses, which refer to Adam (pbuh) or the creation of man. The Qur'an has referred to Adam, and the creation of man, in the following verses: Al-Baqarah 2: 30 - 39 Al-Nisaa 4: 1 Al-Aa`raaf 7: 11 - 25; 189 Al-Hijr 15: 26 - 43 Al-Kahaf 18: 50 Ta' Ha' 20: 115 - 124 Al-Sajadah 32: 7 - 9 Saad 38: 71 - 85 Al-Rahmaan 55: 14 In the Bible, references to Adam (pbuh) may be seen in the following verses: Genesis 1: 26 - 5: 5 1 Timothy 2: 13 - 15 I hope this helps you in your study project. 5 th October 1999
