I Can't Give up Pork My boyfriend is a Muslim and we are going to get married in the Islamic tradition. But one thing I don't want to give up is PORK. Why do you have to give up eating pork just because you are marrying a Muslim man. Do you intend converting to Islam? If that is the case, then I would like to know why is it that you intend to convert, especially when the two of you could get married, without your conversion to Islam. If your question had been that you intend converting to Islam, but your only problem is that you can't give up eating pork, that would have meant that you have fully understood Islam and feel that it is the true guidance from our Creator, but only have a single reservation in your conversion to it. This question would have been much easier to answer. But the way you have asked your question, I really cannot understand why you ask this question in the first place and furthermore, what exactly is your motivation and conviction in your conversion, if at all you are considering it. In case you intend converting to Islam just to get married to the person you love, then I will suggest that you should first of understand Islam and only consider converting to it, if you are intellectually convinced that Islam is the true Divine guidance and the only way of salvation for us, human beings.
