Question

Title: How are Human Beings Resurrected Question: In which form does a person who dies and than his body is burned wake up on the Day of Judgment? I understand that Muslims can't donate their bodies after they die as when they are brought alive, they will still have their bodies. But if the body is missing eyes, that person will wake up blind etc. Jay Sena United Kingdom Answer: In trying to ridicule the Prophet the disbelievers would ask derisive questions regarding death and the Hereafter. Their jeers were muted with revelations from the Qur'an, answering fully what they could not comprehend. It informed them that God is Almighty and that He has the power to create, so too does He have the power to recreate. Even if a person turns to ashes from burning, as you have mentioned in your question, it should be appreciated that God's powers are abounding. He created the vastness of the macro-universe, the intricacy of the immeasurable microcosm from nothing and mankind from dust. If in the first place He can turn dust into flesh surely He is capable of restoring ashes to life. Without a doubt God has the Power to do all He pleases. O people, how can you possibly deny (the powers of) God? When (you already know that there was a time, when) you were dead, then He gave you life, then He shall (once again) cause you to die and then once again bring you back to life, and then to Him shall you all be returned. ( Al Baqarah 2:28) As it regards your understanding regarding Muslims donating their bodies, I would have to humbly correct it. Muslims are not disallowed to give their bodies for the advancement and service of humanity. There is nothing in the Shari`ah (i.e. Islamic Law) that forbids such a thing. So, when a person donates an eye he is no longer in need of that eye in the state of death. When he is brought back to life he is brought back whole as everyone else is. This feat may be astonishing for us but far too simple for God. (They say that man shall not be raised for judgment.) No, I present the Day of Resurrection as a witness; And no, I present man's reproaching conscience as a witness (to the fact that man shall surely be faced with the consequences of his deeds). Does man think that We cannot gather his bones (again)? We can indeed reassemble even his very fingertips. ( Al Qiyyamah 75:1-5) I hope I have clarified the issue. God knows best.
