Final Response on 'Are Shiites Muslims?'
Question
Final Response on ' Are Shiites Muslims? ' Thank you for your response . I appreciate that you posted that on your website. However, I regret that I didn't realize that it will be on the website, and remained very candid and casual, rather being a bit formal. After giving some thoughts to our communications I have concluded that evidently we have hardly been on the same wave length to get our points across. My believe is that Shias are not Muslims which by the way is also supported by scholars let alone those who can rule by virtue of Fatwa. Your position is that it is a duty of a state to make such declaration. I think you probably may not want to get involved in such a controversy which may take a big bite of your time and efforts which you may rather like to use for what you have been doing? That I also consider to be more productive than this 13+ centuries old dispute. I think it will be in the best interest of Ummah to augment her studies with the revealed and inspired message that is to be found in the Final Revelation of God *The Noble Quran*, Sunnah and Ahadeeth including Islaamic Shariah. There are many issues such as like this we one simply cannot bottle feed other. We must not forget that: The pursuit of knowledge is a divine commandment of every Muslim. And One learned man is harder on the devil than a thousand ignorant worshippers I would respectfully urge you to add this response to your web site where you have posted previous exchange of our communication. With kindest personal regards, I remain. Wasalaamu-Alaikum to you 6 th July 2000
