Does Bath Suffice for Ablution?

Question

Does a Bath Suffice for Ablution? IF ONE TAKES A BATH IN THE MORNING AND OFFER HIS PRAYER ( FAJR) WITHOUT FURTHER ABLUTION. IS THIS O.K ? Reply The constitution of Al-Ma'idah 5: 6 - the verse which gives the directive regarding ablution before Sala't - shows, in my opinion, that after taking a bath one does not need to do ablution before sala't. According to the referred verse, under normal circumstances one needs to do ablution before sala't. But if one has had sexual gratification, one must take a bath. Ablution, in this case shall not suffice. It obviously means that taking a bath is more than ablution. Therefore, in my opinion, if one has taken a bath, even under normal circumstances, one does not need to do ablution before sala't. I hope this helps. Regards The Learner
