It is extremely important to understand that nothing can be termed as prohibited or haraam in the Shari`ah without a clear directive of the Qur'an or Sunnah to this effect. It is the duty of the person who believes that decorating house with candles is prohibited in the Shari`ah to provide a clear basis of his opinion in the Qur'an or the Sunnah.
