Question

Title: Can a Fornicator be Forgiven in the Hereafter? Question: If a person have premarital sex, does this mean that he will not get " Hoor al `eyn ", even if he refrains from doing this again and begs Allah's forgiveness? Answer: The Qur'an clearly tells us that even though fornication, with murder and associating partners to God, are some of the major crimes that deserve eternal punishment in hellfire, yet if a person, who has been involved in any of these crimes, truly repents for his behavior, corrects it and seeks God's forgiveness, God shall not only clear him of all the wrong that he had done, but would also convert his bad deeds to good ones ( Al-Furqaan 25: 69 - 70). In view of this divine promise, there is no reason to believe that a person who has truly repented, corrected his behavior and sought God's forgiveness, shall be deprived of any of God's blessings in the hereafter. 13 th May 2000
