Title: Are Birth Control/Contraceptives Forbidden in Islam? Question: How can i control birth with refrence to Islam? Is it allowed in Islam to use condoms and Birth control pills? Answer: There are no evidences in the Shariah to indicate birth control being forbidden. Also Islam does not advise us about how to control birth. Any measure or tool that does not have permanent, irreversible effect (resulting in changing the nature of human being) and is not going against other rules of the Shariah or ethical values of Islam can be deemed as allowable, including condoms.
