Topic Under Discussion The Political Revolution Brought about by the Prophet (pbuh) and its Significance in Planning for the Reestablishment of 'Khilaafah' in the Present Times Question Question from India Thank you for the reply on above posted on 5 july 2005.I have gone through the articles on political issues. But since they are long it will be difficult to answer the workers of political organization. I would be happy if you could answer specifically on Verse 20:47. Also Muslims in India have played a major role in last years election which brought down the Fascist BJP Government. Even after more than a decade because of strong opposition, the Hindutwa forces could not build a temple at the babri Mosque site. Till today there is no evidence that Mosque was built after demolishing a temple, whereas the whole world is witness that Mosque was demolished by Hindutwa forces. These are the points favoring workers of political Dawah. So I hope you will answer specifically to the above points. Thank you. Was Salaam. Answer As for TaHa 20: 47, I really fail to see any aspect of political da`wah in it. The verse tells us about the message that was delivered to Pharaoh to allow the Banu Israel to worship the one God. Moses (pbuh) neither challenged the Pharaoh's rule nor did he try for the establishment of any political state in Egypt after the Pharaoh. Whether or not a particular conduct is likely to be politically effective is one thing and considering a particular action to be a requirement or a directive of religion is quite another. If anyone considers that Islam requires Muslims to strive for a political revolution, it would be his responsibility to provide support for his opinion from an express directive of the Shari`ah . I hope this helps. Moiz Amjad July 23, 2005 Answer published by Moiz Amjad Other Discussion(s) related to the Question Some Clarifications regarding the Divine Law Pertaining to a Messenger...
